The hiatus is over! Oh, and I still hate the gym.

Big surprise there!

I haven’t posted in a while, but I did go back to the gym (my part time job) last Friday, June 29th. The break was good. I’m glad I took it, even though it has cost me a few pounds, because for some reason during the month of June I thought cheeseburgers were a food group I needed more of; the peace of mind, and not stressing over the gym everyday has been nice.

It wasn’t a very triumphant return however. I immediately was reminded of why I took the time off. All the feelings came flooding back to me, I did a less than stellar 30 minutes on the elliptical and left. I haven’t been back since, but I have been exercising a ton. I have been running more, and I have decided that running either outdoors or on a treadmill is the best exercise for me.

Running is hard on the body, and when I was running 5 or 6 times a week I had a constant dull ache in my left knee at all times, but I felt and looked great. My legs and thighs were nice and tight, my stomach was flat, I just looked good. The hiatus made me realize that it’s not the gym that’s going to make the difference as I try to lose the last 40 pounds. I have to stay committed to exercise, and not half assed exercise, intense calorie burning exercise.

I'm sure in two weeks I'll be whining about how running is too hard and my knees hurt, but when I do, someone please remind me of this post...

I'm in love with the gym, but it is so elusive for the new mom. At least my muscles are still hurting from Sunday's work out.

Oh, and "Kay is doing a presentation?! WHA?" *blink*blink*

Do we let women do things like that? You know, like, speak?
